Below is a list of some of my least favorite things at the present:

1. Thomas Hobbes, especially the period of his life in which he wrote the confusing political morass known as Leviathan
2. The Dome of the Rock, even though it is a spectacular piece of architecture
3. Snow, because its only use is to make things messy and hard to walk in
4. My roommate, for turning “a friend on Tuesday night” into “three friends until Friday morning”
5. Kids in college who haven’t grown out of high school yet (see above)
6. People who lack shame or dignity (see both of the above)
